Honeydew Strain Review from The Hydropothecary

Produced in the lovely province of Quebec, The Hydropothecary is a Canadian Licensed Producer known best for its award winning, multiple smoke free medical cannabis options. Currently undergoing a massive expansion, I will have more to come on that soon!

A soil grown CBD strain that is as sticky as its name suggests, Honeydew is a CBD dominant strain that when used properly can help patients find relief from anxiety, pain, fatigue, IBS symptoms and an overall balanced sensation.

Able to be consumed anytime of day due to the fact that there is a zero psychoactive response due to its 18:2 ratio of THC:CBD, this strain is a tool I use as a Cannabis Consultant to remind patients that they can still reap many of the benefits from medical cannabis without the high or psychoactive sensation often associated with cannabis use.

Now while the Hydropothecary is a little more secretive with their strain lineages, we do know that this soil grown product is a Hybrid strain with some pungent earthy and herbal scents and taste to it. Perhaps a little heavier on the Myrcene and Linalool terpenes than normal? This is my thought with so many of my patients finding relief from anxiety, depression, inflammation and muscle tension.

Used in many of my past Cooking with Cannabis classes, this strain allows patients to confidently and safely medicate with a simple granola bar or even salad dressing, for a plethora of medical conditions. A recent noteworthy fact to also consider is that just this past December, The World Health Organization finally made the choice to remove Cannabidiol ( CBD ) from the international controlled substance list.

By the numbers:

  1. Hybrid Strain: 50% Sativa / 50% Indica
  2. THC 0 – 1% / CBD 12 – 15%*

*Cannabinoid percentages will vary with each lot.
